Oyuu was speaking during the concluded 17th KEPSHA annual conference held at Sheikh Khalifa Educational Centre Hall in Mombasa county. The union’s boss said it is right for all workers around the world to have an annual salary increment.

Oyuu said that cabinet secretary for treasury, Mr Ukur Yatani has allocated an additional budget of sh14.9 billion to TSC raising the budget to sh296.6 billion from the previous sh281.7 billion for last year.

He also stated that extra sh15 billion will be allocated to TSC for the financial year 2022/2023. Sources are saying that the extra money is meant for hiring new teachers and implementing a pay rise.
