KUCCPS, The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service opened the application portal for the 2021 KCSE candidates to apply for admission to universities and colleges. Application Link
The KUCCPS agency made the statement last week as it called on all students who did the national examination to apply for their choices of higher institutions.
For those who had already made the applications in schools, they are supposed to do revision before the deadline.
“All the 2021 KCSE examination candidates can now apply for placement to universities and colleges or revise their choices submitted at school,” KUCCPS announced.
The portal according to the agency will be open until the 2nd of June, 2022.
KUCCPS CEO Mercy Wahome in April stated that placement for degree and TVET courses would be considered for only students who submit applications.
“KUCCPS wishes to inform the candidates that only those who apply for placement in the various universities and TVET institutions will be considered. The KUCCPS application portal will open in May 2022,” she said on April 26.
She also noted that students who scored grades ranging from E to C plain would be entitled for government sponsorship in TVET institutions.
During this year’s release of the KCSE results, Education Cabinet Secretary Prof. George Magoha announced that all the 2021candidates were eligible to join higher learning institutions depending on their grades.
Magoha said that the number of candidates with minimum university entry qualification of Grade C+ and above rose to 145,145 (17.49 per cent) in the year 2021 KCSE Examination compared to 143,140 (19.03 per cent) in 2020.
